Daniel Descalso, David Peralta and John Ryan Murphy all homered, and the Arizona Diamondbacks handed Clayton Kershaw his second straight loss with a 6-1 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday at Chase Field. Right-hander Zack Godley tossed seven strong innings as Arizona won for the fourth time in five games to start the season. Kenley Jansen calls it a ''slow start'' to the season. Chris Owings hit a three-run homer off Jansen with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings, and the Arizona Diamondbacks scored twice in the 15th to rally past the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 early Tuesday. In a separate transaction, the D-backs acquired right-hander Stefan Crichton from the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations and optioned him to Triple-A Reno. Given his major league service time, he could have refused his outright assignment to the minors, though that was seen as unlikely seeing as doing so would have resulted in him forfeiting the remaining money on his deal.
