But the Tigers overcame a five-run deficit to beat the Minnesota Twins 12-11 on Justin Upton's two-run homer in the ninth inning. BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police say a man was arrested after he allegedly fired a gun inside his home during a domestic dispute. It happened at 2:15 a.m. Saturday in the first block of Eagle Street. Police say no one was injured in the shooting, but the man’s wife and children were inside the home during the incident. The 41-year-old man was arrested for assault with intent to murder, as well as multiple firearm-related violations. Police say the incident is still under investigation. Continue to Article

Max Kepler homered and drove in three runs for the Minnesota Twins on Friday night. In the eighth inning, the Twins led 7-4, but the Detroit Tigers had runners on first and second. Pinch-hitter John Hicks lined a ball to deep right, but Kepler made a leaping catch on the warning track and threw out Nicholas Castellanos at third for an inning-ending double play.
