Nationals skipper Dusty Baker and Nats GM Mike Rizzo talked this week about Michael A. Taylors contributions... Michael A. Taylor collected two outfield assists, made a leaping catch in center field, and came inches away from a spectacular diving play in left-center field in Mondays series opener in Miami. Washington Nationals skipper Dusty Baker, and any manager in the majors really, will occasionally send out whats referred to as a Sunday lineup on the last day of a series, getaway day, or an actual Sunday afternoon, day game after a night game, whatever. Its something of an insult to the players who get out there to fill in for injured players or give the every day regulars a rest, of course, and as Baker told reporters this week, he doesnt really think he loses a lot when he uses his bench players. Max Scherzer had a no-hitter going through 7 13 innings in Miami, but as he approached 120 pitches, things fell apart and a 1-0 lead turned into a 2-1 deficit in a hurry.... Following his second no-hitter of the season in 2015, Max Scherzer talked to reporters about when it was that he started to think he had something special going in a start.
