Betances needed only 16 pitches to retire the final four batters, racking up three strikeouts on the way to a 3-2 New York victory. The New York Yankees are promoting top shortstop prospect Gleyber Torres to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, according to MLB.com's Matt Kardos. Torres is considered one of the top prospects in baseball according to several outlets. MLB.com ranked him the No. 3 prospect and the Yankees the No. 2 farm system, while ESPN's Keith Law ranked him the No. 4 prospect in January. The 20-year-old shortstop hit .273 with five home runs, 18 RBIs and four stolen bases in 32 games with Double-A Trenton. He did not make an error in any of the 29 games he played in the field. New York Yankees RHP Masahiro Tanaka lost his second straight start on Saturday when he gave up six runs and nine hits in three innings in a 9-5 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.
