Trea Turner has been a catalyst for the Washington Nationals since his call up last season, but Wil Myers and Steven Souza havent been too bad themselves. The San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays and Washington Nationals are each at very different points in their contention windows. ST. LOUIS -- Chris Coghlan soared headfirst over Yadier Molina to score a run for the slumping Toronto Blue Jays at Busch Stadium on Tuesday night. The Blue Jays third baseman was on first when Kevin Pillar hit a soaring drive off the right-field wall for what proved to be a triple. San Francisco Giants star Madison Bumgarner opened up about the shoulder injury he suffered in a dirt bike accident. The Giants ace finds himself on the disabled list for the first time in his eight MLB seasons, the result of a crash while dirt biking through Colorado mountains that sprained the AC joint in the left-hander's throwing shoulder. It was a surprise to me, too," Bumgarner said at AT&T Park, spending 15 minutes fielding questions from reporters, via the San Francisco Chronicle. Continue to Article

San Francisco Giants
San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner, who injured his pitching shoulder in a dirt bike accident, admitted on Monday his off-day recreation was perhaps "not the most responsible" choice. "It's terrible," Bumgarner said in his first public comments on the accident that could see him out of the Giants lineup for up to eight weeks with a sprained shoulder and bruised ribs. "I realize that's definitely not the most responsible decision I've made. Continue to Article
