Colorado Rockies
The San Francisco Giants got Johnny Cueto some runs to work with, and the right-hander took over from there. Cueto pitched seven effective innings, Brandon Crawford and Chris Marrero homered, and the Giants beat the Colorado Rockies 8-2 on Friday night. San Francisco led 4-0 after four innings. If Chicago White Sox manager Rick Renteria wants to get Garcia's attention in the outfield on Friday night against Minnesota, he is going to have to be more specific. Renteria put together a lineup of Avisail Garcia in right field, Leury Garcia in center field and Willy Garcia in left field for the series opener against the Twins, the first time in major league history that a team has started three outfielders with the same last name. Last year Crawford made 65 starts hitting fifth, his home this season, except on days when the man who used to hit in front of the pitcher will bat cleanup. It’s been a steady rise, and over time Crawford has added Gold Glove winner, Silver Slugger, All-Star, MVP candidate and Team USA shortstop to his resume. One role hasn’t changed, however. When the Giants win a game, Crawford quickly transitions into clubhouse DJ for the fifth consecutive year. When Crawford first took over the speakers — “Nobody else would,” he explained — he leaned Continue to Article

Colorado Rockies
Gray’s now former look, which closely resembled that of Noah Syndergaard, had become more than a staple look for him. In some ways it even symbolized the face of the Rockies future. Gray is already the team’s undisputed ace after being selected third overall in the 2014 MLB Draft. Continue to Article
