Arizona Diamondbacks
Two teams limping to the All-Star break hope to get good news on the injury front Monday when the Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants open a three-game series at AT&T Park. Rookie shortstop Trevor Story could be back in the starting lineup for the Rockies, while the Giants expect to welcome back reliever Sergio Romo -- and possible other mainstays, too. (Adds final game) July 3 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Sunday's Major League Baseball games: Nationals 12, Reds 1 Stephen Strasburg did not allow a hit or run in 6 2/3 innings and Danny Espinosa had four hits, including two homers, and six RBIs as the first-place Washington Nationals slugged a season-high six homers to crush the last-place Cincinnati Reds 12-1 on Sunday. Strasburg, who came off the disabled list before the game, had not allowed a hit when manager Dusty Baker pulled him after throwing 109 pitches with two outs into the seventh and a runner on third. Strasburg (11-0, 2.71 ERA), who struck out five and walked four, is the last qualifying starter in the majors who does not have a loss. Continue to Article

San Diego Padres
Diamondbacks third baseman Jake Lamb will enter the final week of the pre-All Star break season with a chance to share history with some of the franchise's biggest names. Arizona right-hander Archie Bradley (3-4) will oppose Padres right-hander Luis Perdomo (2-3), each looking to cool off hot hitters and potential All-Star on the other side. Paul Goldschmidt has done it twice, while Matt Williams and Jay Bell did it in 1999, when Arizona made the playoffs in the second season in franchise history. Continue to Article

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed right-hander Zack Greinke on the 15-day disabled list Sunday due to a lingering oblique injury. Greinke departed Tuesday's start against Philadelphia after two innings due to tightness in his left oblique. The disabled list move was made retroactive to June 29 and the Diamondbacks are optimistic Greinke will be recovered when play resumes after the All-Star break on July 15. Continue to Article
