On his 28th birthday, usually reliable Boston Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel was perfectly positioned to kick off the celebrations with his first win of the season on Saturday. David Ortiz had wrestled back the lead with a ninth-inning home run, and with two out in the bottom of the inning, Kimbrel had worked Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak to an 0-2 count.
