Troy Tulowitzki homered and drove in three runs, J.A. Happ allowed five hits in 8 2/3 innings and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the San Francisco Giants 4-0 on Tuesday night for their sixth victory in eight games. Roberto Osuna came on to walk Matt Duffy, loading the bases, before getting Jarrett Parker on strikes for his eighth save. Tulowitzki hit a solo shot against Matt Cain (0-5) with one out in the second and followed Michael Saunders' seventh-inning triple with a sacrifice fly. Continue to Article

Toronto Blue Jays' left fielder Michael Saunders had a difficult inning against the San Francisco Giants on Monday night. While he did hit a bases loaded single in the first inning to get a run on the board for the Jays, one inning in particular was extremely unkind to him.  It all started two batters into the bottom of the sixth inning. Matt Duffy had just been walked by Aaron Sanchez, and there was one out. Brandon Belt hit a liner to left center field, and for a moment, it looked as if Saunders had it covered. But suddenly, Saunders put his arm out to catch the ball, which was yards away from where the ball was falling. And then he turned his entire head toward the centerfield wall, AKA away from the ball and the field of play.  The ball had gotten lost in the lights, and Saunders hadn't even seen it. He realized what happened immediately and started to run after it, but Jays centerfielder Kevin Pillar was there to back him up. That misplay got Belt a double. [ Join a Yahoo Daily Fantasy Baseball contest now ] Things didn't get better from there. Two batters later, Brandon Crawford hit a tall pop-up down the left field line. Saunders ran in to catch it, and he nearly had it. But he forgot about the bullpens at AT&T Park, which are in foul territory. While running in to catch Crawford's pop-up, Saunders tripped over the bullpen mound and slid onto his knees. The ball didn't fall into Saunders' glove, but instead bopped him on the head, almost literally adding insult to injury. Toronto would go on to win the game 3-1, so Saunders' misplays didn't end up being too costly. But he was probably very happy when that inning was over.
