Kings vs. Spurs Prediction: San Antonio Should Win, but the Price Is Too High
Analysis updated October 27, 2026 at 7:29 AM CDT
The Spurs won the Oct. 16 meeting by 29 points and enter with more rest, while the winless Kings will be missing four players.
San Antonio has the clearer path
San Antonio is the likely winner Tuesday at Frost Bank Center. Hoops Nightly, a game-day NBA matchup site, reports that the Spurs beat Sacramento 126-97 at the same venue on Oct. 16. San Antonio also enters on two days of rest after a 122-106 win at Dallas, while the 0-3 Kings have one day of rest following a 123-112 home loss to Memphis.
Sacramento will be without Keegan Murray, Ben Simmons, Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell. San Antonio has ruled out Jayden Quaintance and Tobias Harris. The Kings’ longer absence list adds to the case for the favorite.
The price calls for a pass
SPF lists San Antonio at -1650 on the moneyline and -17.5 against the spread, with Sacramento at +950 and +17.5. The Spurs’ earlier 29-point win makes another comfortable victory plausible, but one result isn’t enough to support laying 17.5 points. The -1650 moneyline also offers too little return for the risk.
The expected starters remained unconfirmed at the latest update. Hoops Nightly lists Precious Achiuwa as Sacramento’s least-certain starting spot, while San Antonio’s five projected starters have opened every game. Without confirmed lineups, season efficiency data or line movement, there isn’t enough evidence to back the spread or the 230.5 total. San Antonio should win, but the betting lean is Pass.
