Khwan Fore made a game-saving steal and continued down court for an exclamation layup at the buzzer and third-seeded Richmond escaped with a 70-67 win over George Washington in the Atlantic 10 Tournament quarterfinals on Friday night. Down one with 5.8 seconds left and the ball under its own basket, the Colonials went up top to Yuta Watanabe but as he tried to dribble left around his defender at the top of the key, Fore slashed in and took the ball away. Jack Gibbs hit two 3-pointers in the final minute and scored a season-high 34 points to lead ninth-seeded Davidson to a 73-67 upset over top-seeded Dayton in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament on Friday. After Davidson's Jon Axel Gudmundsson tied the game at 65-all with 1 1/2 minutes left on his only 3-pointer, Dayton missed a 3.
