The St. Louis Cardinals and the owner of radio station KMOX-AM said Friday that Cardinals games will continue to air on the station through the 2024 season as part of a five-year extension to their radio rights agreement. With the extension, KMOX, owned by Entercom Communications Corp., will remain the Cardinals flagship station and broadcast all regular season games, postseason matchups and spring training contests. The Cardinals' current slate of radio broadcasters, which includes Mike Shannon, John Rooney, Rick Horton and Mike Claiborne, will continue to perform the play-by-play duties. Continue to Article

Adam Wainwright has agreed to a one-year contract to return to the St. Louis Cardinals for a 16th season. The deal is for $5 million plus up to $5 million in incentives, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported.
