Carter Hart made plenty of big saves Wednesday night as he stopped 35 shots in the Flyers' 2-1 shootout loss to the NHL-leading Capitals at the Wells Fargo Center. Thanks to an awesome drawing, the beautiful memory of Lucy McCabe and the 21-year-old goalie, his most meaningful moment Wednesday night came after the game. Shildt earned the award in his first full season on the job, even though Counsell received more first-place votes (13-10) from the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli won the AL prize in a tight finish over Aaron Boone of the New York Yankees. Continue to Article

Cavan Biggio and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were among the lone bright spots for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019 and the league certainly took notice. Biggio, who was called up from Triple-A on May 24, finished fifth in American League Rookie of the Year voting. Guerrero Jr. entered the 2019 season as baseball's unanimously highest-touted prospect and showed flashes of brilliance throughout his debut campaign. Continue to Article
