The St. Louis Cardinals have placed outfielder Harrison Bader on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 14, with a right hamstring strain. In a corresponding move, the Cardinals recalled rookie outfielder Lane Thomas from Triple-A Memphis. Star third baseman Anthony Rendon is in the final year of his contract, and if Tuesday's news is any indication, he's willing to try and work something out with the team. Rendon and the club reportedly met Tuesday to discuss an extension, according to Mark Zuckerman of MASN.
