Two days after coughing up a five-run lead, the Texas Rangers scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to finish erasing their own five-run deficit and defeat the Oakland Athletics 8-7 on Sunday afternoon. Rangers pinch hitter Danny Santana, in his first at-bat of the season, tied the game at 7-7 with a two-run triple to deep right off A's reliever Joakim Soria (0-2) in the bottom of the eighth. Veteran right-hander Edwin Jackson is rejoining the Oakland A's organization on a minor league deal. Jackson, 35, went 6-3 with a 3.33 ERA in 17 starts with Oakland last season. He has posted a career record of 104-123 with a 4.60 ERA in parts of 16 seasons with a whopping 13 teams, which is tied for the all-time record with former reliever Octavio Dotel. Continue to Article

Toronto Blue Jays prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. made his debut with Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday and showed why many think he is already ready to join the big league club. The third baseman, who is the son of Hall of Fame member Vladimir Guerrero, had a walk, a double and a three-run home run, finishing the night 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs.
