If you like to pay up for stars, there will be no shortage of them with the Bucks, Rockets, Timberwolves and Mavericks all in action. Clint Capela (concussion) and Eric Gordon (knee) have already been ruled out and Russell Westbrook is expected to sit for what is the second game of a back-to-back set for the Rockets. To top it off, both the Rockets and the Timberwolves are ranked inside the top four in the league in pace of play. Continue to Article

Bradley Beal scored 44 points and Moritz Wagner finished with a career-high 30 points and 15 rebounds as the Washington Wizards recorded a 137-116 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday in Minneapolis. Beal, who had 44 points in Washington's 140-133 loss at Boston on Wednesday, shot 15 of 22 and made 13 of 14 from the foul line to help the Wizards avenge a 131-109 loss to Minnesota on Nov. 2. Karl-Anthony Towns celebrated his 24th birthday by collecting 36 points and 10 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who played without star Andrew Wiggins. Continue to Article

Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Andrew Wiggins has been one of the most confounding NBA players of the late 2010s. Despite being pegged as a superstar out of high school, going first in the 2014 draft and winning Rookie of the Year honors in 2015, Wiggins was largely seen as a disappointment over his first five pro seasons — particularly given the max contract extension he signed in 2017. After arguably the worst season of his career in 2018-19, it appeared that Wiggins's chance at superstardom — which once seemed guaranteed — had basically passed him by. Continue to Article

The Portland Trail Blazers are reportedly signing Carmelo Anthony, the 2013 NBA scoring champ who last played for the Houston Rockets a full year ago. He'll join Damian Lillard, all-star guard and early MVP candidate, and CJ McCollum, the 2016 Most Improved Player. If you're already raising your eyebrows at the amount of ball-handling guards now on the roster, you're not alone. Continue to Article
