The Capitals will honor the World Series-winning Nationals prior to Sunday's 7 p.m. game against the Calgary Flames, the team announced in a press release Friday. Prior to puck drop, the Nats will take the ice for a pregame ceremony with the Commissioner's Trophy in hand to celebrate the team's first-ever World Series championship. Andrei Svechnikov scored twice in the third period, including one on a surprising maneuver, as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the visiting Calgary Flames 2-1 on Tuesday night in Raleigh, N.C. Svechnikov's winning goal came on a power play with 7:25 remaining. It was his second straight two-goal game.
