Christian Wood scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds off the bench and Derrick Rose overcame a cold shooting night to score the go-ahead basket in the final minute as the host Detroit Pistons defeated the Indiana Pacers for the second time in six nights, 96-94, on Monday. Andre Drummond supplied 18 points and 18 rebounds, while Luke Kennard tossed in 14 points for Detroit, which had lost its last two games. Joel Embiid played after missing the Sixers' win Saturday over the Pistons with a right ankle sprain and was massive in his return, with 36 points and 13 rebounds. He made two free throws with 5.3 seconds left after the Hawks' John Collins tipped in a missed Trae Young free throw. Kawhi Leonard filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark two phrases for use on clothing and footwear last week. As first revealed via Twitter by trademark attorney Josh Gerben and confirmed by FN, the Los Angeles Clipper filed Oct. 23 to trademark the phrases “City Views Over Interviews” and “What It Do Baby. If approved, the trademarks would apply to footwear and apparel, including socks, coats, sleepwear, swimwear, headwear, dresses, pants, scarves and undergarments. Continue to Article
