Benoit Savard has rooted ardently for the Blackhawks for the majority of his life, and Friday afternoon, he got the chance to meet and skate with his heroes at Fifth Third Arena. "It's the best day of [his] life," Savard's brother Emmanuel said, speaking as his younger brother's translator (Savard is from Levis, Qebec, and his first language is French). St. Louis Blues standout winger Vladimir Tarasenko will miss at least two games after suffering an upper-body injury during Thursday's victory over the Los Angeles Kings. St. Louis general manager Doug Armstrong said Friday that Tarasenko won't travel to games at Boston on Saturday and at Detroit on Sunday due to the injury. Brayden Schenn scored twice against the team that drafted him, and the St. Louis Blues overcame a pair of deficits and the loss of a star player to defeat the visiting Los Angeles Kings 5-2 Thursday night. The defending Stanley Cup champions rallied from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits, and played a majority of the game without star winger Vladimir Tarasenko, who left the game in the first period with an upper-body injury.
