The Minnesota Wild will try to complete a sweep of their brief two-game homestand when they host the Pacific Division-leading Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night in Saint Paul, Minn. The Wild capped a roller-coaster 72-hour span that started with a 4-0 blanking at Montreal and a closed-door, players-only meeting by rallying to defeat the Canadiens 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at home for just their second victory in eight games this season. All it needed was for Samsonov to play well in his opportunities and Holtby to struggle for murmurs over whether Samsonov should be named the No. 1 to begin bubbling in Washington. A busy night around the National Hockey League brings us a nine-game slate for DFS. Giroux is off to a pretty quiet start to the 2019-20 campaign, but he is coming off what has been his most productive outing so far, registering a pair of assists in a 6-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. With the Flyers returning to Philadelphia after a three-game Western Canada road trip, I could see this matchup against Dallas being a good spot for the centre, especially considering this will be the Stars' second game in as many nights. Connor McDavid scored once in a five-point game, and Leon Draisaitl scored twice and added an assist as the host Edmonton Oilers beat the Philadelphia Flyers 6-3 on Wednesday night. McDavid has 17 points through seven games this season, a feat equaled by in franchise history only by Wayne Gretzky.
