The Johnstown Warriors hockey program added its first-ever all-girls youth hockey team this year, with help from Sidney Crosby. Throughout its 53-year history, the Johnstown Warriors Cambria Youth Hockey Program in Pennsylvania never had a youth all-girls team (12 and under). Nazem Kadri had a goal and two assists as the visiting Colorado Avalanche scored four goals on their first five shots in the first period and defeated the Washington Capitals 6-3 on Monday. The Avalanche scored their four goals in a span of 5 minutes, 43 seconds to knock out Washington starting goalie Braden Holtby and take an early 4-0 lead. Niklas Hjalmarsson suffered the injury blocking a shot during the first period of Arizona's overtime loss to Colorado on Saturday. According to Craig Morgan of The Athletic, Niklas Hjalmarsson will be out of the lineup for approximately three months after cracking his fibula in the first period of Saturday's overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
