The worst-kept secret of the 2019-20 season is out of the bag, as Bo Horvat was finally named as the 14th captain of the Vancouver Canucks prior to Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Kings. Horvat was revealed as the choice in a pre-game ceremony but it turns out his teammates knew ahead of time as the Canucks drew back the curtain and provided us with a behind-the-scenes look of the announcement. The Vancouver Canucks named Bo Horvat as their next captain on Wednesday night ahead of the team's home opener against the Los Angeles Kings. Horvat posted a career-best 27 goals and 61 points, playing in all 82 games during the 2018-19 season. The New York Rangers traded forward Vladislav Namestnikov to the Ottawa Senators on Monday in exchange for minor league defenseman Nick Ebert and a fourth-round pick in 2021.
