Brad Marchand's goal late in the first period stood as the winner as the Boston Bruins defeated the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday night in the Coyotes' home opener in Glendale, Ariz. Marchand, coming off of four straight 30-goal seasons, tallied his first of the new campaign in the Bruins' second game at 18:41 of the first, when Patrice Bergeron fed him with a backhand pass off the boards in the Arizona zone.
