With their playoff chances waning and receiver Mike Williams and running back Justin Jackson already ruled out, the Los Angeles Chargers are considering taking a drastic risk in their Week 4 game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Head coach Anthony Lynn said on Friday that the Chargers are considering using star running back Melvin Gordon in a limited role, just three days after he ended his 64-day holdout and reported to the team. Sounds like Antonio Brown might be getting some of his guaranteed money after all. The Patriots reportedly have no interest in paying Brown his $9 million signing bonus, citing the multiple sexual assault allegations levied against the embattled wide receiver. What makes things tricky for New England, however, is that the team kept him on its roster after learning of the allegations and even had him suit up in a Week 2 game against the Miami Dolphins, before releasing him just five days later. Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon ended his 64-day contract holdout and reported to the team facility on Thursday. Head coach Anthony Lynn was scheduled to talk to reporters in the afternoon about Gordon, who will undergo a physical exam before participating in practice. Former New Orleans Saints first-round draft pick Stephone Anthony is returning to his old team to help fill a void at linebacker, according to an NFL Network report Anthony, the 31st overall selection in the 2015 draft by the Saints, will fill the vacancy created after rookie linebacker Kaden Elliss, a seventh-round pick out of Idaho, was lost for the season with a knee injury. Anthony started all 16 games of his rookie season with the Saints, recording 112 tackles with an interception, two forced fumbles and a touchdown on a fumble recovery.
