Greinke, a future Hall of Famer, has been stellar this season — a 2.99 ERA and a sub-1 WHIP. Matt Olson homered for the third time in this four-game series, and the Oakland Athletics held on for a 3-2 victory over the host Houston Astros on Thursday. Olson smacked his 32nd home run off Astros right-hander Justin Verlander in the third inning, a two-run shot that provided right-hander Homer Bailey (13-8) and five Oakland relievers just enough of a cushion. Already this season, the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees have surpassed the single-season team mark, which was the 267 homers socked by the 2018 Yankees. Continue to Article

Turns out Hinch was one to watch, and his time working in the NL West with the Diamondback and the Padres before heading to Houston gave me many years to get to know him. It was really fun for me to interview him. I knew he loved the Bay Area, but wasn't from here. Continue to Article
