Christian Yelich smacked his 44th home run of the season and four pitchers combined on a three-hitter to lift the host Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-1 victory against the Chicago Cubs on Friday night. Brewers right-hander Zach Davies scattered one run and three hits with one walk and four strikeouts in five innings to earn the victory. Pete Alonso drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the New York Mets a dramatic 5-4 win over the visiting Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night. RBI singles by Alonso and Wilson Ramos in the eighth gave the Mets a 4-2 lead, setting the stage for closer Edwin Diaz to finish the game in the ninth.
