NY Yankees
He's likely to fall well short of that innings total this season, but Gray has a good chance to finish the season with a sub-3.00 ERA for the third time in his career. Gray has been even more dominant since the break with a 1.65 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 11.4 K/9 in eight starts. He has a favorable two-start week coming up at Miami and St. Louis, and at this point he's obviously a must-start in almost any locale, as well as a likely top 20 starter entering 2020. Kiké Hernandez came up with a big hit on his bobblehead night. The Dodgers second baseman capped a three-run ninth inning by blooping a single to score Corey Seager with the winning run and Los Angeles beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-2 Thursday night after being one-hit through eight innings. Hicks' blast, his ninth on the season, enabled the Tigers to snap an eight-game losing skid against Houston and a four-game losing streak overall. Verlander had pitched brilliantly, allowing just one baserunner through eight innings before Hicks drilled a 1-0 fastball out to left field, snapping a 1-1 tie with his 412-foot shot. Max Muncy hit a game-ending home run deep into the seats in right-center field as the Los Angeles Dodgers earned yet another walk-off victory, defeating the visiting Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 in 10 innings on Wednesday night. It was the Dodgers' 11th walk-off victory of the season and improved the club to a baseball-best 50-16 at home this season. Muncy's game-ending shot came off Blue Jays left-hander Tim Mayza (1-3) and was his 33rd of the season. Continue to Article

Mike Fiers ran his streak of consecutive starts without a loss to 19, and Liam Hendriks struck out Aaron Judge representing the potential go-ahead run to end the eighth inning Wednesday night, lifting the Oakland Athletics to a 6-4 victory over the visiting New York Yankees. Khris Davis, Marcus Semien and Stephen Piscotty homered for the A's, who improved to 5-1 on their nine-game homestand by beating the Yankees for the second straight night.
