Cleveland Indians pitcher Corey Kluber was diagnosed with an oblique strain after leaving a rehab start Sunday during the first inning. The Indians will shut down the two-time American League Cy Young Award winner from pitching while he begins a new rehab program, the team said in a statement Tuesday. Kluber, 33, has been trying to work his way back from a non-displaced fracture in his right forearm that didn't require surgery but forced him onto the injured list in early May after he struggled to a 2-3 record and a 5.80 ERA in seven starts. Patterson, the fan who was signed after hitting 96 mph in a stadium radar gun booth, made his first appearance with the A's in the Rookie-level Arizona League.
