The White Sox recent offensive renaissance came to a screeching halt Friday, though Tim Anderson tried to keep the mojo from a 5-2 road trip working. The South Side shortstop had two of the White Sox four singles in a 7-0 drubbing at the hands of the visiting Oakland Athletics, staying red hot in the month of August, during which he's got a .457 batting average.
