Gerardo Parra stung his former team with a three-run home run and right-hander Joe Ross celebrated a happy homecoming with six shutout innings Wednesday afternoon, allowing the Washington Nationals to complete a three-game sweep of the host San Francisco Giants with a 4-1 victory. Adam Eaton and Trea Turner combined for five hits and two runs scored for the Nationals, who finished off a 5-1 season-series win over the Giants. Washington completed the pitching-dominated, three-game road sweep without using any of its top three starters -- Stephen Strasburg, Max Scherzer or Patrick Corbin. Continue to Article

Right-hander Erick Fedde combined with three relievers on a seven-hit shutout and Matt Adams cracked a run-scoring double Monday night, giving the Washington Nationals a 4-0 victory over the host San Francisco Giants in the opener of a three-game series. Adam Eaton singled, walked and scored twice, helping the Nationals beat the Giants for the third time in four meetings this season. Fedde (2-2), who had been winless since May 26, allowed just one runner past first base in six innings. Continue to Article

Pitching the way he did Monday night made it that much easier for Erick Fedde to forget how poorly it went his last time out. Fedde tossed six strong innings to win for the first time in eight starts and Anthony Rendon's early run-scoring single held up as the Washington Nationals beat the San Francisco Giants 4-0. Rendon's single in the third put the Nationals ahead, with Adam Eaton starting the two-out effort with a single and scoring from first with aggressive baserunning. Continue to Article
