Cavan Biggio hit a go-ahead solo home run in the eighth inning and added an RBI single in a three-run ninth as the visiting Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Kansas City Royals 7-3 Monday night. Teoscar Hernandez also hit a solo home run and Randal Grichuk hit a two-run shot and had three RBIs for the Blue Jays in the opener of a three-game series. Well, it certainly didn't take long for Bo Bichette to feel comfortable at the major league level. The 21-year-old prospect needed two pitches to pick up his first big league hit, knocking a 0-1 fastball on the inner half from Kansas City Royals starter Brad Keller between the third baseman and shortstop.
