The Pittsburgh Pirates placed left-hander Steven Brault on the 10-day injured list on Saturday after he strained his pitching shoulder during Friday night's game. Brault departed the contest against the Milwaukee Brewers, a 7-6 loss, in the fifth inning. Brault said he was encouraged to be told that his stay on the injured list should be brief. After they blew a five-run lead in the ninth inning, the visiting Milwaukee Brewers got an RBI single from Lorenzo Cain in the 10th Friday to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-6. Against Pirates closer Felipe Vazquez (2-1), Milwaukee's Orlando Arcia, Manny Pina and Cain singled in succession to produce the winning run. Jesus Aguilar and Pina each hit a two-run homer in the eighth, Aguilar added an RBI single and Arcia hit a solo homer for Milwaukee, which broke a three-game losing streak and had entered the game having not scored in their last 23 innings.
