Saturday's game was a costly one for both the Milwaukee Brewers and host Pittsburgh Pirates, as both teams lost a player to injury in the later innings. First, Pirates left fielder Corey Dickerson left in the top of the seventh inning with what the team called right groin discomfort after he made a running catch on a fly ball. After they blew a five-run lead in the ninth inning, the visiting Milwaukee Brewers got an RBI single from Lorenzo Cain in the 10th Friday to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-6. Against Pirates closer Felipe Vazquez (2-1), Milwaukee's Orlando Arcia, Manny Pina and Cain singled in succession to produce the winning run. Jesus Aguilar and Pina each hit a two-run homer in the eighth, Aguilar added an RBI single and Arcia hit a solo homer for Milwaukee, which broke a three-game losing streak and had entered the game having not scored in their last 23 innings. Retiring New York Yankees' pitcher CC Sabathia will be honored on Tuesday at the All-Star Game in Cleveland, the city where his career began in 2001. Commissioner Rob Manfred announced Friday that Major League Baseball will recognize his contributions to baseball and his community service before the game.
