The Los Angeles Angels announced Wednesday that All-Star second baseman Tommy La Stella has a fractured right tibia and will miss eight to 10 weeks. La Stella sustained the injury Tuesday night when he fouled a 97-mph fastball off his right shin in the sixth inning of the Angels' win over the Texas Rangers. Mike Soroka earned the win by tossing 6 1/3 strong innings Friday night, and the Atlanta Braves never trailed after fellow rookie Austin Riley launched a two-run homer in the second inning as they defeated the host New York Mets 6-2. The Mets lost their sixth straight and fell to a National League-worst 9-17 in June. Kimbrel dodged trouble for a save in his season debut when new teammate Anthony Rizzo dived into first base for the final out, and the Chicago Cubs rallied from five runs down to beat the Atlanta Braves 9-7 on Thursday.
