Cincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett, sidelined all season after suffering a severe groin strain near the end of spring training, has been activated ahead of the team's Friday night game against the Chicago Cubs. Gennett, who had four rehab appearances at Class-A Daytona and three at Class-AAA Louisville, will play second base and bat sixth.
