NY Mets
Mike Francesa called it a “rocking-chair save.” And that's what it should have been for the Mets. Calling the Mets a dumpster fire is far too gentle. Kimbrel, a seven-time All-Star, sat on the free agent market until signing a reported three-year deal worth $43 million on June 7. The hard-throwing right-hander worked out at the Cubs' spring training facility and made four appearances at Triple-A Iowa -- with a 2.45 ERA in 3 2/3 innings -- before the call-up.
