The New York Yankees set a Major League Baseball record with a homer in a 28th straight game on Tuesday -- DJ LeMahieu's leadoff blast securing the mark in a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. LeMahieu belted a pitch off Toronto left-hander Clayton Richard into the second deck of seats in left field at Yankee Stadium to give New York the record. DJ LeMahieu and Aaron Judge hit back-to-back homers in the first inning as the New York Yankees set the major league record by homering for the 28th straight game and held on for a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees broke the major league record previously held by the Texas Rangers, who achieved it from Aug. 11-Sept. 9, 2002 when Alex Rodriguez hit 16 of their 55 homers. New York Yankees left fielder Giancarlo Stanton exited Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays after the third inning due to a right knee contusion and is headed for an MRI. Stanton singled to left in his first at-bat and appeared to hurt himself sliding awkwardly into third headfirst when Toronto pitcher Clayton Richard spiked his hand. He took second when Luke Voit hit a ground ball that third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had to make a diving play on and then attempted to reach third on the throw to first. Continue to Article

New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton left Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays in the fourth inning after an awkward slide into third base earlier in the night at Yankee Stadium. Stanton was thrown out at third base in the first inning after attempting to slide in head first after a groundout by Luke Voit. He was tagged out and reportedly seemed fine after the play, however it appeared as if his left hand was stepped on. Continue to Article

The New York Yankees reinstated veteran Kendrys Morales from the 10-day injured list and then designated him for assignment on Tuesday. The Yankees acquired the first baseman/designated hitter from the Oakland A's on May 14 in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations.
