Stephen Curry offered a long list of things motivating the Golden State Warriors to extend their season once more and keep alive the chase for a third straight championship. Winning for injured teammate Kevin Durant certainly ranks No. 1 heading into Game 6 of the NBA Finals. A victory in the last game at Oracle Arena is right up there, too. Continue to Article

Why Warriors should worry about referee officiating NBA Finals Game 6 originally appeared on nbcsportsbayarea.com As the Warriors fight to see another day, they can't be too happy with who will be officiating Thursday night's Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Marc Davis, David Guthrie, John Goble, and Eric Lewis will make up the crew on the court in the final game being played at Oracle Arena. That first name should worry Warriors fans. The Boston Celtics guard remains "intensely interested" in joining the Brooklyn Nets in free agency after changing agents Wednesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday night. Wojnarowski added the New York Knicks are "expected to remain competitive" for Irving, who didn't opt into the final year of his contract with Boston and will become an unrestricted free agent June 30. Golden State
As if the Golden State Warriors didn't already have enough going on, the team introduced a new logo on Wednesday. Perhaps as a ploy to distract the world from the fact that Kevin Durant ruptured his right Achilles tendon in an NBA Finals game he probably shouldn't have been playing in, Golden State made the announcement around the same time Durant made the depressing revelation that he had indeed torn his Achilles, complete with a sad photo from his post-op hospital bed. Golden State touted a custom font and “more accurate depiction of the Bay Bridge” in the reveal. Continue to Article
