After a forgettable April, Kyle Hendricks wrapped up a fabulous May with another strong start. Hendricks pitched eight terrific innings, Kyle Schwarber homered for the second straight game and Kris Bryant added a solo shot in his return to the lineup to help the Chicago Cubs avoid a sweep with a 2-1 win over the Houston Astros on Wednesday night. A line-drive foul ball off the bat of Chicago Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr. missed the netting protecting fans down the third base line and struck a child in the crowd of Houston's Minute Maid Park on Wednesday. According to the Twitter account for Houston radio station KBME 790 AM (SportsTalk790), the child, reportedly a girl, was expected to be OK.
