Is Joel Embiid smiling? As the Sixers' "crown jewel" said after Game 5, he shouldn't care about what anyone else thinks, because it's what gets him going. The Sixers finished the regular season as the top first-quarter-scoring team in the NBA (average of 30.8 points), while the Raptors came in to the postseason at 28.1, the middle of the pack. Leonard recorded his lowest points tally so far in the Eastern Conference semi-final series, scoring 21 as the Raptors won 125-89 at Scotiabank Arena to take a 3-2 advantage. The three-time All-Star dropped 45 and 39 in Toronto's other two wins against Philadelphia, but Pascal Siakam (25), Lowry (19) and Danny Green (17) made telling contributions in their latest victory. Joel Embiid knows what he needs to do to bounce back in Game 6 originally appeared on nbcsportsphiladelphia.com When your best player isn't your best player, it's awfully hard to win a playoff series. Joel Embiid hasn't been himself for most of the postseason and has struggled mightily in four of the five games of the Sixers' second-round series with the Raptors. Game 5 wasn't a banner night for any Sixer, but Embiid's performance was magnified by the context of his health. Continue to Article
