The Pittsburgh Pirates announced on Saturday they have placed right-handed pitcher Jameson Taillon on the 10-day injured list with a right elbow flexor tendon strain. Taillon, in his fourth season with the Pirates, has compiled a 2-3 record with a 4.10 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings over seven starts in 2019. Pittsburgh Pirates starter Chris Archer said Sunday he has dropped his appeal of his five-game suspension, but with the way the schedule falls, he shouldn't miss his turn in the rotation. Archer was among three people suspended for their participation in a brawl between the Pirates and Cincinnati Reds on April 7. The Texas Rangers have placed second baseman Rougned Odor on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 11, with a right knee sprain, the team announced Saturday. In a corresponding move, the Rangers called up infielder/outfielder Danny Santana from Triple-A Nashville.
