Cleveland Indians right-hander Corey Kluber, a two-time American League Cy Young Award winner, sustained a non-displaced fracture to his pitching forearm when struck by a comebacker Wednesday night in Miami. Kluber left the game with two outs in the fifth inning after he was hit by a line drive from Miami Marlins right fielder Brian Anderson that was clocked at 102 mph. Ichiro Suzuki's playing days might be over, but his tenure with the Seattle Mariners isn't. The team announced Tuesday that Suzuki will join the club as an instructor. Clint Frazier became the Yankees' 15th player to go on the injured list, sidelined because of a sprained left ankle, and New York acquired Cameron Maybin from the Cleveland Indians for $25,000 to gain outfield depth.
