James Harden flirted with a triple-double, Clint Capela posted a double-double, and the Houston Rockets closed out their home schedule with a 149-113 dismantling of the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. The Rockets turned in their second consecutive blowout win on their home court to hold on to the third seed in the Western Conference. Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has been participating in the interview process as the Phoenix Suns look to hire a new front office executive, ESPN reports. Suns owner Robert Sarver has said that he values his relationship with Fitzgerald, and the two are golf buddies. Devin Booker is legit (don't believe the haters), Deandre Ayton has potential, Kelly Oubre Jr. appears a good fit, guys like T.J. Warren and Josh Jackson might have roles — but the team needs a direction and a better-rounded roster. After firing GM Ryan McDonough at an odd time, then replacing him with an odder combo of people, Suns owner Robert Sarver is looking for the guy to give his team that direction. The Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies take their back-to-back series back to Tennessee to close out their season-series Sunday night with only draft position on the line. The two teams have been eliminated from playoff contention for some time, and played Friday night in Dallas jockeying for draft position.
