The Washington Capitals have recalled goaltender Ilya Samsonov from their AHL affiliate in Hershey, the team announced Thursday. The Caps' first-round pick in 2015, Samsonov has posted a record of 19-14-5 with a 2.74 goals against average and a .896 save percentage in 36 games with the Bears this season.
