Memphis
Evan Turner had 13 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists off the bench for his second consecutive triple-double and the Portland Trail Blazers reached 50 wins this season with a 116-89 victory over the short-handed Memphis Grizzles on Wednesday night. Damian Lillard came close to a triple-double, too, with 20 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, but he sat for the final quarter. Enes Kanter had 21 points and 15 rebounds for his third straight double-double. Continue to Article

Dallas
Karl-Anthony Towns had a monster night with 28 points and 13 rebounds, and Andrew Wiggins scored the game-winning basket with 19 seconds to go to lift the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 110-108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Towns was brilliant throughout, hitting 12 of his 15 shots, including his last two, a jumper to tie with 1:15 to go and then a sweet dribble-drive for a finger roll and a 108-106 lead with 48 seconds to play. Dallas rookie guard Jalen Brunson tied it with 36 seconds to go, but after Wiggins reclaimed the lead for Minnesota, Brunson missed Dallas' 32nd 3-point attempt of the game. Continue to Article

Memphis entered Wednesday's game without a whopping eight rotation players. With those two factors, you would assume Memphis would have no business being in this game, but the young Grind City team kept it close, at least for the first half. Continue to Article

Dallas
Mark Cuban's Dallas Mavericks scored on perhaps the most shocking transaction of the NBA season when they traded for rising star Kristaps Porzingis from the New York Knicks. The Knicks shipped the 23-year-old to Dallas in January for Dennis Smith and a package of draft picks and expiring contracts. It was a coup for the Mavericks, who picked up the budding 7-3 superstar who averaged 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game while shooting 39.5 percent from 3-point distance before a torn ACL ended his 2017-18 season. Dallas
Nowitzki stayed on the bench, but that was the only disappointment Mavs fans endured Monday night. Justin Jackson scored 24 points, Salah Mejri added 16 points and 14 rebounds, and the Mavericks took advantage of a short-handed Philadelphia 76ers lineup in a 122-102 victory. Philadelphia, playing without starters Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler, went more than 10 minutes without a field goal spanning the second and third quarters. Continue to Article
