Perron pushed his personal point streak to 16 games (nine goals, 12 assists) after collecting three goals and two assists in his last three contests since returning from a nearly two-month absence due to a concussion. It appears as if the Detroit Red Wings are prepared to enter the 2019-20 season with the exact same goaltending duo they have this season. Starting goalie Jimmy Howard said on Tuesday, via NHL.com, that he and the team are finalizing a contract and “working out the language” on a one-year deal that, according to the Detroit Free Press, is expected to pay him $4 million.
