Boston
They could finish with the second-most points in the NHL this season as the B's sit tied with the Calgary Flames at 95 points with 10 games left to go for both organizations. The Bruins even have plenty of comeback wins down the stretch and their own pregame pump-up speech from MMA brawler Conor McGregor along the way, so there's plenty of Black and Gold mojo going as well. So there's good reason for those backing the Bruins to get pumped up with bodies also returning to good health, and Matt Grzelcyk, Torey Krug and Marcus Johansson expected to also join Pastrnak back in the lineup sooner rather than later. Boston
It looks like the Boston Bruins are on the verge of getting one of their top players back from injury. On Monday morning, winger David Pastrnak was back on the ice with his teammates, according to NBC Sports Boston's Joe Haggerty. It isn't lost on 23-year-old Connor Clifton that he's getting a golden opportunity to carve out something for himself late in the regular season for a playoff-bound team in the Boston Bruins. The young D-man was called up to Boston earlier this week when Torey Krug went on the shelf with a concussion, and the unheralded Clifton has once again stepped in and has done a good job for the Bruins in a tough spot. Playing in only his second game with the Bruins since his call-up, Clifton and partner Brandon Carlo were called into shutdown duty against the top line for Columbus about midway through the game. Boston
originally appeared on nbcsportsboston.com UFC fighter Conor McGregor was the star of the show Saturday night when the Boston Bruins hosted the Columbus Blue Jackets at TD Garden. The Irish legend pumped up the team in the locker room before the game, took part in a ceremonial puck drop and a whole lot more. In fact, he watched the end of the overtime period at ice level, and his reaction to Bruins forward Brad Marchand's winning goal was amazing. Continue to Article
