Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon has a minor plantar fascia tear in his right foot and is out indefinitely. The Bucks say Brogdon underwent an MRI and had a subsequent examination Saturday with team physician Dr. William Raasch. They add that Brogdon will be listed as out and his status will be updated as appropriate. Continue to Article

Sixers weekly observations: Ben Simmons striking the right balance, Joel Embiid's wide-ranging influence, more originally appeared on nbcsportsphiladelphia.com This week, all the speculation stopped. Well, most of it did anyway, at least the valid questions about what the Sixers would look like when Joel Embiid returned. Injuries are going to play a role in the Eastern Conference playoffs, with little margin between Milwaukee, Toronto, Philadelphia, and Boston (sorry Indiana, but the injury to  Victor Oladipo leaves it a step back of these teams in the postseason). Bucks starting two guard Malcolm Brogdon has a minor plantar fascia tear in his right foot, and while the team will not put a timeline on it he reportedly will be out 6-8 weeks. Malcolm Brogdon underwent an MRI and subsequent examination today that revealed a minor plantar fascia tear in his right foot. Continue to Article

Brogdon exited Friday's game with what was announced as right heel soreness after going 0-for-3 from the field in seven minutes. A timetable of six to eight weeks rules out any return in the regular season, which ends in less than four weeks for the Bucks. If Brogdon were to come back in exactly six weeks from Saturday, that would be an April 27 return, roughly around the end of the first round and beginning of the second. Continue to Article

Aggressive Jimmy Butler shines in Sixers' win over Kings originally appeared on nbcsportsphiladelphia.com For those who wanted to see Jimmy Butler be more assertive on offense, Friday was your night. Butler was aggressive early and often, scoring a game-high 22 points in a 123-114 Sixers' win over the Kings at the Wells Fargo Center (see observations). Butler had a pretty simple explanation for why he played so well. Continue to Article
