BOSTON -- The Bruins continue to be the hottest team in the NHL, even if they don't hold the longest actual winning streak in the league at this point. What they do have is one of the longest point streaks in franchise history, as they engineered a comeback in an eventual 4-3 overtime win over the Carolina Hurricanes at TD Garden on Tuesday night. Alex Stalock and the Minnesota Wild were close to gutting out a sixth consecutive win on Sunday, but the Nashville Predators ended up slipping by them 3-2 in the shootout. From the second period on, Nashville generated a 35-17 shots on goal advantage, yet they found themselves down 2-1 in the final frame. For the second time in 10 days, the Carolina Hurricanes came from behind to beat the Florida Panthers. Sebastian Aho scored at 1:46 of overtime to lift the Hurricanes to a 4-3 win over the Panthers on Saturday night for their fifth straight win.
