A home game against a tired team is just the kind of opportunity the San Jose Sharks can't afford to squander if they want to catch first-place Calgary. After two mostly lackluster periods against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Sharks turned it on in the third and closed in on the Flames in the Pacific Division race. Trent Frederic is making the best out of a tough situation. The Boston Bruins' 20-year-old rookie and St. Louis native was set to make his hometown debut against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday afternoon. There was just one small glitch... Frederic was sent down to the Providence Bruins in favor of Peter Cehlarik after the Bruins acquired third-line center Charlie Coyle in a trade. Continue to Article
