It's looking like LeBron James in the NBA playoffs isn't the forgone conclusion we've come to presume. On Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Clippers, 113-105, slumping to a ho-hum 30-34 record, six games adrift of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with 18 games left in the regular season. Not only will James almost certainly fail to extend his preposterous streak of eight consecutive NBA finals appearances, it's looking more and more likely that he'll miss the playoffs altogether for the first time since the 2004-05 season, when he was a 20-year-old in his second year. When it happened, Kyle Kuzma was in a lot of pain. In the fourth quarter of the Lakers' loss to the Clippers, was cutting off the ball, received a pass, planted his right foot, and his ankle rolled. As is likely the case with most Lakers fans at the moment, the team's current extended run of incompetence got the best of Snoop Dogg. Snoop's reaction called for coach Luke Walton to be fired, and also for the team to upgrade LeBron's supporting cast, demanding that the roster be moved via a "slave ship." That comment was later clarified when sources close to Snoop spoke with TMZ. Get a slave ship, and ship all them sorry motherf*ckers the f*ck outta here!" The injury-hit Los Angeles Lakers are likely to be without Kyle Kuzma when they face the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, but Brandon Ingram is set to return.
